For the first time in our annual member survey, we asked IAVA veterans whether they support expanding access to psychedelic treatment options within the VA. Sixty five percent said yes. Only twelve percent said they were opposed. Whether it is cannabis or psychedelics, the message from the post 9/11 generation is clear. Veterans are ready for more alternative therapies that offer real relief. We just need our leaders in Congress to make that care possible.

The Innovative Therapies Centers of Excellence Act of 2025 (H.R.2623 & S.4031) would establish a dedicated system in the VA to deliver breakthrough psychedelic assisted treatments and study their impact on veteran health and recovery. This bill represents a major step toward giving veterans access to the full range of evidence based care they deserve.

Congress must Take Action now! Tell your lawmakers to support and pass the Innovative Therapies Centers of Excellence Act (H.R. 2623/S.4031) and open the door to innovative therapies for the veterans who need them most!
